Scenario 1: Broken Mobile
a.      Location: At a shop                                                   Characters: Salesperson and Customer
Student A: Customer
Student B: Salesperson
You bought a mobile from this shop, but it’s not working properly.  You want a new phone from this shop by the end of the day.  Ask the salesperson to give you a new one.
You’re a salesperson at the shop.  A customer comes in with a phone which doesn’t work properly.  Ask him/her what’s wrong with it. Explain that he/she cannot get a new phone today.
 

  
                                                       Scenario 2: False Advertisement
Characters: Salesperson and Customer
Student A: Customer
Student B: Salesperson
You came to this business because of an advertisement that you saw on the internet.  You want to buy the thing you saw advertised, and you need it before the end of the week.  Ask the salesperson to give it to you for the price you saw in the advert.
You’re a salesperson at the business.  A customer comes and wants to buy something he/she saw advertised on the internet.  You can’t give the customer the item he/she wants at the price he/she wants.  Explain to the customer the price you can sell the item at, and why you can’t give this item for the price the customer wants. 
 




Scenario 3: Strange Illness
a.      Location: At home                                                     Characters: Parent and Child 
Student A: Parent
Student B: Sick child
Your child seems to be sick, although you can’t see any symptoms.  Your child needs to go to school today for an important reason.  You don’t believe that your child is actually sick.  Catch your child lying about his/her illness.
You are feeling sick with some strange illness.  You feel bad and you think you are showing crazy symptoms.   You parents are trying to force you to go to school.  Tell them how you feel and why you can’t go to school.
