    Subject : Attracting more visitors

The purpose of this report is to communicate the good and the bad points of the musesum. Another aim for this report would be to make some recommendations for the improvement of the museum.
The museum offers a wide range of information in a well-presented way. The advantage for the museum’s incomes is that the museum is appropriate for all kind of visitors. Also since I have been working here I have noticed some complaints about the price. Another problem that I have noticed is the lake of adevertisments.
At present, the museum offers too few ajustments on the price for students and for retired people. Althought the musesum has a wide range of information well-combined with movie’s rooms with new effects that captivate many visitors, a significant part of them think that the price should be lower. In addition a step for attracting more visitors would be a considerable discount for students and retired people.
A lower price would attract more vistors. However for increasing substantially the number of visitors, the museum should be more exposed to people. Would be helpful some advertisments given to students, teachers or shared on the streets to people.
In conclusion I feel it is possible to attract more visitors than the museum has now by making discounts and advertisments that could increase the popularity of the musesum.

  2. Dear Mrs Brown,

I am writing regarding the advertisement about the summer school. I would like to receive more information about Enghish Summer School’s program because I believe that it is a good opportunity to improve my assets.
Firstly I would be interested in more information about how many students will be attending at this summer program and which are exactly the modern teaching facilities. The information given in the advertisment was about English lessons in the central London location. Regarding to this it would be helpful for me some information about the location of the nearest underground station from there.
Secondly, the advertisment have not contained detailes about the classes throughout summer. I would be pleased in knowing the dates when the classes will be running and which would be the subjects that are included in the summer’s program.
Moreover I would like to know about what kind of activities the program contained and which are precisely the accommodation included in mentioned price.
I am looking forward the required information. This can be an opportunity and an unic experience that I would be pleased to attend.

    Yours sincerely,

    Dear Mrs. Brown,
With reference to your advertisement about the “English Summer School” I am writing to ask for more detailed information.

First of all, I would like to know where the school is, and how to reach it from the nearest underground station. I do not mind going by subway as long as there is an underground station nearby.

Second of all, I would appreciate if you could give me further details concerning the kind of facilities which the school provides. Is there a language laboratory or a library where I could study in the evenings? Are students allowed to use all the available facilities, even on weekends? I am also interested in whether there are other teaching subjects, besides foreign languages. Likewise, I would like to know the estimated number of students that sign up there, each year.

Furthermore, I am really interested in finding out some information on the dates that I can register at your school. For example, could you tell me if it is too late to sign up in June? Moreover, I would like to know what sort of leisure activities can be organized at this school. I am very keen on aerobics and swimming. Are these activities part of the leisure program?

Finally, would you be so kind to tell me what type of accommodation is available? Could you also inform me if the price that appears in your brochure includes accommodation? It would be great if the price specified could also include accommodation because it would affordable for everyone.

I am sorry for all the questions but I really need to know these things before I can make up my mind. Thank you in advance. I am looking forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.

    Yours faithfully,
    Dana O.

To: Mr. Harvey Specter, Museum Editor
    From: Donna Paulsen, Part-Time Employee
Subject: How to attract more visitors to the museum

Mister Specter, with reference to your previous demand, I am writing this report to recommend a few ways in which your museum could attract more and more visitors.

Firstly, I want to draw your attention on the fact that the majority of people who visit the museum are either students or families. In connection with this, many of them hesitate to enter because of the high cost of the ticket. I strongly suggest reconsidering the price of the ticket and even make discounts for first year students and for families that have two or more children. Likewise, you can organize a day called “Founders Day” where the tickets could be free for everyone.

Furthermore, I have spoken to some of the visitors and most of them mentioned the lack of a restaurant or café in the building. I think it is an excellent idea to place this kind of facilities in the building because the profits from these would also help to pay for more interesting collections and exhibitions. At the present moment, most of the items in the museum are displayed in glass cabinets with explanations on small pieces of paper. These are not very easy to read and some of them are placed too high. I firmly recommend to renew the collections, perhaps even bring some living interpretations seeing that these are always more attractive compared to the static ones. Another advice would be to focus on film and photography because this enables the visitor to get involved in the exhibition. People are fond of novelty so new collections would also attract new people. The collections do not have to be renew each week but at least, each season,

Finally, I consider the advertisement of the museum very low forasmuch sharing leaflets with small pictures and even smaller print will never attract a wide range of visitors. If I were the director of this museum I will definitely organize a flash mob on historical themes related to the origins of the museum. Moreover, I would give free tickets to plays which promote the ideals of the museum. These would also help to increase popularity in comparison with other museums.

To sum up, I believe that the museum could have a bright future if you would allocate some time on updating the displays, opening some new facilities and improving the advertisement.

First of all,I would appreciate if you could give me further details concerning how many students are there .For example, could you tell me what nationalities have them?I want to know if I could make any friends there.Considering that I come alone in London, at first, it will be very difficult.
Furthermore, I would like to ask you what kind of facilities are there. In your advertisement says that there are modern teaching facilities. Are there any labs ,computers or libraries? Is the wireless internet access available?I want to know this because I would want to keep in touch with my family. If there are lessons in central London location, could you tell me where is the nearest underground station ?It is really important for me to know this because I have not a sense of locality ,especially in such a big and crowded city.I am really glad that there are classes throughout summer , but I would appreciate if you could also tell me the accurate dates.
Finally, could you please send me details about the entire cost of this summer school? Is it 200 euro per week including accommodation? And one more thing I would want to know is what sort of leisure activities are there? For instance, are there activities like:going out for entertainment, visiting art galleries and museums, attending opera, ballet or dance performance?

  6. Mister Harvey,

I am really glad that you has asked me to write a report about how you can attract more visitors in your museum. More and more museums are doing what it takes to make visitors want to come, to feel welcome when they arrive, cared for and engaged during their stay.

First of all, creating a positive experience for visitors, one that will make them want to return time and time again, involves many considerations .It involves everyone in the museum, from the marketing to the admission, coat check and security staff who meet visitors at the door, as well as volunteers ,gift shop and restaurant personnel.I am sure that you, Mister Harvey, know very well these things. If you want to attract more and more visitors , you have to direct them to programs, provide gallery, brochures and offer them from time to time free tours.
What is more, when a museum opens its doors to new audiences it takes on several challenges. The key to this effort is making sure that employees throughout the institution have a clear understanding of the museum’s service standards ,the skills and enthusiasm to meet those standards. It is very important and you have to make sure those who come the first time leave wanting to return.
Furthermore, I would advise you that the the cafe staff are generally good with the public and the turnover is high. It includes being open longer on weekends to make it easier for people to visit; expanded food services; more and improved seating throughout the museum; and allowing strollers at special exhibitions.

I enclose my report and I would be really pleased if my tips were useful to you.

    Yours sincerely,
    Z. Corina

I have seen the advertisment of English Summer School and I am really interested in going to this type of summer school. I am writing to find out more information about this school.
I would like to know where exactly the school is situated because the location written in the advertisment is not very clear. Could you tell me how many students will come? I would also appreciate if you could let me know what type of facilities the school have.
I am more interested in finding out the lenght of time, because it would be great if it is during July. I would also like to know what sort of activities will be during the summer school. I would be very grateful if you could tell me what sort of accomodation will be and if the price per week is also including the accomodation.

Subject: giving advice in order to attracting more visitors
The purpose of this report is to offer some pieces of advice to have more visitors at the museum.
    What should be improved:
On the first hand, the museum, should have a guide who can show visitors around and who can give more information about the exhibits.
On the other hand, you can also add a shop where people can buy souvenirs, for example, postcards, jewellery, magazines, toys and others.
People usually feel tired and hungry after the tour, and this is the reason the museum should have a snack bar where people could come and eat.
In my opinion, the museum would necessary have discounts for children and schools.
I suppose it is all for now. Those advice should bring more visitors to the museum.

I think my favourite possession is my audio system . I love disturbing my neighbours , I mean … I love sharing my music with them , it is cut out to make this . I work part time with my other young neighbours as Disk Jockeys . I’ve bought it 2 months ago and I think I already succeded to break it . When I turn up the bass my subwoofer makes a subtle bad sound , it’s nut such a big problem but this mean I’ve got to buy another one , and we know that the bigger is the better .

“ Why is it special for you ? “
It is very important for because I can’t live without music , I’m feed up about it and furthermore it is special to . I like a good and loud sound and that’s what I recive from my system . But what is making it special is the thing that it was a gift .

The first floor must have a beautiful sea views, large balcony and armchairs. I want to know some details, breakfast is included in the price?
I'd like to visit some tourist attractions, there are translators into English?
Bruce comes by plane, you can tell me if he can take a taxi from the airport to take him directly to the hotel?
I will pay personally, I'd like breakfast to be include in price.

Our world would be much better without television.
My opinion about TV is not very good, when you open it you don't know what to look at, cheesy soap operas, the news or movies. If you are lucky to hit a groove with music or a good movie not change that you could jump over another to make you turn off the TV.
The TV can damage and also can be addictive. It isn't good to look a long time at the TV and it is best to stay as far away when you look. Children do not think that they can hurt themselves and sit 5-6 hours, ruining his eyes. Just like the computer can be addictive, start looking and you can't stop yourself from watching.
I think the world would be much better if instead of watching television 2-3 hours per day would read a book.
